In Random Recast, we find new uses for ordinary things. This week: Milk jugs. 
Whether you're starting plants from seeds or cuttings, save yourself the hassle of having to rustle up pots by crafting milk jug planters. Simply cut off the top of the jug to create a high-walled planter that will protect the delicate leaves from the elements. (Plus, the plastic will create a mini-greenhouse atmosphere that will nurture plants.) Best of all, the handle makes the planter easy to tote when it comes time for transplanting.
A few tips: It can be a pain to cut through the plastic of a milk jug, so I generally nix scissors in favor of a craft knife. Also, you'll want to cut a hole in the bottom for drainage.
